If you’re like me, you’ll always be on the hunt for new books – so here goes with my mini list of Thriller books you should buy.
Whether it’s a good old-fashioned police procedural or the twisting and turning chase across a faraway city, a whodunit can be absorbing, to say the least.
Something like 21 million Crime, Thriller, and Mystery books are sold every year in the UK alone, and in the US, the category makes up around 47% of all book sales.
Rick Mofina – A Perfect Grave
The former journalist turned multi-award-winning author has gone from reporting on murderers on death row, to seeing his novels published in 30 countries around the world.
The Candian author has received praise from the likes of James Patterson, Lee Child, and Tess Gerritsen, as well as scores of other well-known writers.
I picked this book up a couple of years ago – on sale for £1 – and I’ve read it countless times since.
Dan Brown – Angels & Demons
To any seasoned Thriller reader, Dan Brown will need no introduction, but for the uninitiated, he’s a former English teacher who became one of the world’s best-selling authors.
The Da Vinici Code and Angels & Demons – as well as several of his other books – have sold millions of copies and have been turned into feature films.
There’s no way I could put together a list of thriller books you should buy without including my absolute favorite author!
Tess Gerritsen – Last to Die
Tess Gerritsen has seen her writing reach the very top of international sales charts and also inspire the creation of the Rizzoli & Isles TV series.
Her fiction has been published in more than 40 different countries and she has sold more than 30 million books.
I stumbled across Tess Gerritsen’s work completely by accident, but now she’s a name that I keep an eye out for. She’s one of my very favorite authors, and I recommend her whenever I get a chance.
Jonathan Holt – The Abomination
Jonathan Holt is an English Literature graduate of Oxford University who works as a creative director in an advertising agency.
The two as yet published works in the Carnivia Trilogy of thrillers earned international best-seller status.
Jonathan Holt is an author I discovered thanks to Richard & Judy’s Book Club and thanks to a special offer, I was able to pick it up pretty cheaply. I devoured this book in just a couple of days!
